MissionCare’s clinical and behavioral programming is tailored to individuals with these diagnoses and needs. At Mission Care Center, our talented and focused staff will work with you, your family, and your healthcare provider, to create a comprehensive and effective care and treatment plan. Residents are able to participate in the Gazebo program if approved by a physician. This program is a privilege for residents that choose to enjoy an alcoholic beverage from time to time, or daily, pending physician approval. Residents that have physician orders to participate may enjoy a prescribed amount of alcohol during the daily happy hour. We provide behavioral health management to all skilled residents in need and have Psychiatry Services on-site with weekly visits from psychology.

The first private chemical dependency treatment program in Minnesota was started by the organization in 1948, an outgrowth of the emerging Alcoholics Anonymous movement. During this time, Missions Inc. became a key participant in the development of the ‘Minnesota Model’ for chemical dependency treatment. In the 1960s Missions Inc. discontinued its operations in Minneapolis.

About Mission Nursing and Rehabilitation Center
No matter what level of care is needed, our caregivers are committed to providing exceptional, quality care for our residents and patients throughout their stay. In 1927, the organization expanded its services to include a working farm, known as Mission Farms, located on the north shore of Medicine Lake in Plymouth, Minnesota. The number of residents reached its peak during the years of the Great Depression, when so many were unemployed and homeless.
Programs provides a collaborative community and safe space where people are empowered to heal and transform their lives. Our residents are doing the hardest and most important work of all, bravely facing the challenges that lie ahead, taking control of their lives and finding hope in the future. Our main campus is located on the north shore of Medicine Lake in Plymouth, MN, offering a natural environment in which to pause, heal and gain strength for a new beginning. The facility was at one point housed in the Union City Mission Chapel before it was torn down in 1995 and patients were moved to new facility. Mission Nursing Home offers an indoor smoking area for cigarettes only.

Mission Point helps its residents live a healthy, happy and productive lifestyle. Programs in 2016 as the Program Manager for the Home Free Community Program. Elsa provides oversight and direction for the domestic assault intervention project and leads a staff of advocates in providing criminal and civil legal advocacy to individuals and families impacted by domestic violence. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies from the University of Minnesota - Duluth.
Missions Inc. is a nonprofit organization with a proud history of more than a century of service. We are located at three sites in Plymouth and St. Paul, MN, providing chemical health, domestic violence and long-term care services through seven programs, serving over 3,000 people each year. Programs in 2014 as an RN Consultant for Mission Lodge, providing client care, medication monitoring, advocacy with health care systems and medical related training for staff. She quickly expanded that role to include Smith Lodge and Hart House. She also became the RN Nurse Manager at Judy Retterath Center, with oversite over the day to day medical services of that program including supervision of the LPNs.
Aimee has over 20 plus years of administration experience. Driven by her passion for people and organizational processes, she takes pride in providing the best collaborative and strategic support possible. When she is not planning or organizing, Aimee loves to spend time with her family, go on long walks, do anything outdoors or read a good book. Some of her favorites are The Boys in the Boat, Where the Crawdads Sing or any classic Sherlock Holmes stories. We are a nursing home that specializes in mental health care for geriatric patients and with our specific focus, stability is a key to our success.
Rakumba has worked in recovery for 10 years, he became a telephone specialist in 2015, a recovery coach in 2018 and gave a speech at St. Cloud University in 2018 about addiction in African American adolescents. Rakumba is also an artist and has illustrated several book covers. His favorite movie is You Kill Me Too and he loves Rob Reiner movies. He has 29 years of experience in the investment industry.

Princess has extensive history working in youth development and community based family services. Princess’ favorite book is The Rose that Grew from Concrete by Tupac Shakur and favorite TV series is Game of Thrones. Programs in 2022 as a Shelter Advocate at Home Free Shelter and then was promoted to Shelter Coordinator in September 2022. Veronica is responsible for ensuring that the shelter operates with the highest level of customer relationship standards, trauma-informed care and survivor-centered and culturally responsive practices. Veronica has personal experience as she is a survivor of domestic abuse.

Ms. Determan is a Human Resource executive with experience in diverse industries from small to mid-size to Fortune 50 public companies. Ms. Determan loves to go camping with her family and enjoy the beauty of Minnesota. Ms. Fallon is Director of Construction Management at CommonBond Communities and has a background in construction.
